Canadian indie-rockers Tokyo Police Club will be joined by Scottish rockers We Were Promised Jetpacks on Saturday, June 11th for a sure to be wild show.

Coming off the release of their new EP Melon Collie And The Infinite Radness Part 1 (hey we’re really into this title) the gang will make their return to Portland. An upbeat and classically catchy record full of everything to love about TPC showcases the unmistakable vocals of lead David Monks, that never seem to wear out. “The Ocean” is driven by Monks’ vocals with the help of airy keys in a nostalgic ballad of drunken longing. “Please Don’t Let Me Down” is a powerhouse pop-rock track with slammin’ drums that’ll get your feet moving. We Were Promised Jetpacks from Glasgow, Scotland will also be making a swift return back to Portland, OR. The rockers who teeter somewhere across a balance of post-rock, small hints of punk, and otherwise all around beautiful explosive noise and the smoothest vocals from frontman Adam Thompson (Check out our review for their last PDX show, which we adored). With each WWPJ show, these lads showcase obvious growth, and another show down the line is certain to be even better than their last. These guys are an assured “not-to-miss” live act in our books.
